Once a Web site is created, it is the job of the web master to maintain the site so that it remains a valuable resource for the client and the client's customers.

Maintenance is a more routine task than site design and creation, but it occupies the majority of most webmasters' time and effort. They must update information contained on the Web site or in databases linked to the site and check the links on the site regularly to make sure that they are still working and that the information they provide is still current.

For our energy ravenous generation the source of our power must be plentiful, clean, environmentally conscious, dependable and sustainable.

Google Algorithm Change: At the end of January Google decided to use the page layout of your site to decide where to rank you.

More specifically, if you have too many ads and not enough useful content above the fold (top half) of your site, your ranking will be hurt.

The purpose is to penalize sites that aren't providing quality content to their visitors. This in turn will improve their overall search results for the rest of us.

Just because your website is launched, does not mean that it is over. You need to maintain fresh content to maintain your search engine rankings. Blogs are the best way to achieve this as long as you write posts relevant to your target market at least once per week. This may seem like a tall order but it is well worth it. Although every new website we launch has a CMS, it is wise to also purchase a web maintenance plan because sometimes sites after they have launched, errors show up or new font styles have been introduced. Technology is always changing.
